I created NYLA Influencers because I spent years working on the brand side of the biz and saw creators being undervalued for their work and earning less than they deserved. For that reason, I believe in helping creators reach new heights in their influencer business through negotiating for what they’re worth, more team support, and implementing content and brand partnership strategies that work.

Several years ago, I had a job working on the brand side of the biz. For a while, I thought I was living the dream, but when I really sat down and thought about it - I wasn’t truly happy. The career and the direction my life was going just wasn’t doing it for me. I needed more. I needed something that lit a fire within me.
So what did I do? A little soul searching and a whole lot of thinking ... I spent time with myself trying to figure out exactly what I wanted out of life and that’s where the shift happened.
All I can remember thinking to myself was “This is it. I’ve made it.”
Then one day out of the blue, my world was turned upside down and I lost my job.
I was devastated. I began thinking … Who’s to say I can’t just do this on my own?
I asked my friends, family, and colleagues for advice. Everyone around me was telling me the same, exact thing - "It's too risky to be an entrepreneur" or “You need to find a traditional, full-time job.”
Well guess what? They couldn’t have been more wrong!
At that time, I had nothing to lose and a leap of faith was just what I needed!
After all, it was BEYOND time that I put myself first and work towards MY dream.
So I started my biz!
